Hefazat rally begins for Women‍‍`s Reform Comm’n abolition

From early Saturday morning, leaders and activists of the organization from across the country—including the capital—began arriving at Suhrawardy Udyan in processions.

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh’s previously announced grand rally has commenced, with participants raising four key demands, including the abolition of the Women’s Reform Commission.

From early Saturday morning, leaders and activists of the organization from across the country—including the capital—began arriving at Suhrawardy Udyan in processions. They chanted slogans such as “Naraye Takbir, Allahu Akbar” and “Enemies of Islam, Beware, Beware.” Several thousand participants have already gathered at the venue.

The rally formally began at 9 AM under the leadership of the organization’s Ameer, Allama Shah Muhibbullah Babunagri. Prominent ulema, Islamic scholars, and thinkers are scheduled to speak at the event.

Hefazat leaders have issued a warning of announcing tougher programs if the Women’s Reform Commission—alleged to be contrary to the Quran and Sunnah—is not dissolved.

Their four-point demand includes:

Canceling the Women’s Reform Commission and its report.

Removing the proposal of the majority in the constitution and restoring full faith and trust in Allah.

Withdrawing all cases filed against Hefazat leaders and activists.

Taking action against all genocides, including the Shapla Chattar incident, and supporting the government‍‍`s role in stopping the oppression of Muslims in Palestine and India.
